Come on a journey with Jo-AMI - to the Isle of Skye!
“I’ve just come down from the Isle of Skye….”
Two weekends ago I spent touring my own back garden in a motorhome and I was absolutely astounded by it’s beauty! I took a variety of Jo-AMI products with me on the trip and will give you my recommendations for your essential camping trip styles at the bottom of this blog post!
I’ve always wanted to visit the Isle of Skye, but have just never gotten round to doing it, sounds like the story of my life! But when the opportunity came to hire a motorhome with friends, we just had to go for it and so the planning began! We had plenty of sights on our list that we wanted to experience and so made an itinerary, deciding what we could fit into the time we had!
We were so lucky with the weather as it was beautiful blue skies, sunshine, and the only time it rained was on our way home! These are the places that we visited and would 100% recommend:
· The Old Man of Storr – amazing angular rocks on a hill walk
· Kilt Rock – a beautiful waterfall
· Fairy pools – mini pools of water in rock pools on walk up hill
· Claigan Coral Beach – the whitest beach and clearest sea water
· Neist Point Lighthouse – a distinctive light house on the edge of a cliff with amazing views
· Portree Harbour – colourful houses beside the sea
· Manuela’s Bakery – individual mini bakery just over the Skye bridge back on the Scottish mainland.
All the places above were so amazing to visit and I would go back in a heart beat!
